From which ever side you want to look, this beauty dates back by the time of the Phoenicians.
It is mentioned in the Odyssey by the Greeks, and made part of the mighty empire of Carthage. Lisbon is one of the oldest capital cities in Europe founded 200 years after the foundation of Athens. After the fall of mighty roman empire, Germanic, Visigoths, and Vandal tribes pillaged the country. By the 8th century Islam arrived and Portugal becomes part of the Caliphate. By the time of the crusades in the 12 century Portugal becomes a Christian city.
In the 15-18 century is one of the major capitol cities that gives birth to the age of discoveries, and thrives in riches from Asia, Africa, and south America until a fatal earthquake of 1755 destroys it almost entirely.
This tour is afternoon or morning walking tour. Visiting the most important parts of historical Lisbon (Sao Pedro de Alcantara – walking down to Chiado and To the Merchant Square. Heading on the narrow streets of Alfama, and climb up to the Castle of Saint George) We stop to taste a traditional pastry with a coffee, and later in Alfama in a traditional small “Tascas” and we try some of the Portuguese finger-food, a traditional drink and many more…

Lissabon ist eine der ältesten Hauptstädte Europas, die 200 Jahre nach der Gründung von Athen gegründet wurde. Nach dem Fall des mächtigen römischen Reiches plünderten germanische, Westgoten und vandalische Stämme das Land. Im 8. Jahrhundert kam der Islam an und Portugal wird Teil des Kalifats. Zu der Zeit der Kreuzzüge im 12. Jahrhundert wird Portugal eine christliche Stadt.
Im 15. bis 18. Jahrhundert ist eine der Hauptstädte, die das Entdeckungsalter hervor und zur blute bringt, in Reichtum aus Asien, Afrika und Südamerika gedeiht, bis ein tödliches Erdbeben von 1755 es fast vollständig zerstört.
Diese Tour ist Nachmittag- oder Morgen Spaziergang. Besichtigung der wichtigsten Teile des historischen Lissabon (Sao Pedro de Alcantara – hinunter nach Chiado und zum Handelsplatz. Entdecken wir die engen Gassen von Alfama und steigen wir bis zum Schloss von Saint George). Ich empfehle ein traditionelles Gebäck mit mir zu probieren mit ein Portugiesisch Kaffee und später in Alfama in einem traditionellen kleinen “Tascas” einige traditionelle Kleinigkeiten zu Kosten
